Any Hillcrest neighbors having problems with rodents (voles, mice, and gofers)? I've already spoken to several others who are also having the problem, which is resulting in some destruction of our landscaping!! We live on Eagle Ridge Circle.
Is anyone else in Hillcrest experiencing the same problem? (I imagine so, since they multiply by the thousands, never hibernate, and eat lush green plants and lawns.) They eat the roots, so the damage is done before you know it!
My plan is to find out the status of this problem in the neighborhood, inquire if anyone has found a good method or company to control it, and see if we can coordinate an effort for the little rascals extinction (well, that will never happen, but it sure would be nice to slow down their voracious attack on our yards).

Hi
I live on Misty Ridge. I experienced a bad vole problem in 2005. I killed 138 in 2005. . In 2006 that count went down to about 30. Last year and so far this year I haven't seem many. I killed them by setting regular mouse traps using a piece of apple for bait. I looked for their trails and placed the traps where they would have to pass over them. It works. But it takes time since I was setting about 40 traps per day. So it takes some time to check each trap and re-bait them each day.
Good luck.

I would concur with Bill as I live on 671 Misty Ridge and also had many vols 100+ thru the summer. We had our pest guy set up stuff? and they would die from it. No problems as of 2007.
